First post..an introduction
So the first post on this blog.
Not sure if anyone else watched Panorama on Monday evening about Ultra Processed Foods and the potential harm they are doing to our bodies. I’d already read Tim Spector latest book after hearing him on Radio 4 . It’s a bit of a tome so a half hour programme on tv was obviously going to be cutting out bits.
However it’s made me and himself think long and hard about this and we are going to give it a go and try and reduce our upf consumption as much as possible.
It won’t be easy with my ibs and being gf and him being vegetarian but we are going to give it a go.
For the moment we are eating what we have and thinking if we need to replace and if so with what. Tbh I’m looking forward to the odd slice of home made banana bread for breakfast .
So today….
B/f Fruit yoghurts… need to replace with natural yoghurt ,maple syrup? and bit fruit ..well himself can have a lot of fruit.
Lunch Rice noodle pot and bakes are both a no no so salad /soup h/m flatbread
Cheese and onion crisp bakes for himself so maybe an omelette
Tea I’m making king prawn in paprika flour with rice and salad so that would be ok .
Drinks tea, water for me but I generally have cordial in the evening which I may keep as it’s one glass a day at most.
Himself had a Monster and that’s definitely out the window.
I’m thinking it’ll get easier as the upf leave the cupboard ..maybe.
